Orekit 14.0 release date?

Question for the PMC: I’ve seen talk that you want Orekit 14.0 out before the end of the year, but do you have a specific date in mind? Thanks.

No, we don’t, sorry. I am not even sure we won’t be behind this schedule.

Hi,

It’s not really the PMC’s decision to fix a date, we’re only required to approve the release candidate. The community can definitely weight in on the next version’s content and schedule.

Looking at the milestone, I would say that we already have a case for releasing sooner than later (30 complete issues). Some API breaking stuff still needs to be done beforehand tho, including the Java upgrade.

Personally I think we should release anyway in December at the latest, to keep a good pace.
