Temporary access restriction to our Nexus instance

Dear all,

Migrating our Nexus instance – https://packages.orekit.org/ – to a newer instance is a somewhat complex process. I need to run some preliminary tests, and the Nexus database must not be modified during the migration.

I will therefore block access to our Nexus instance for a few hours. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I will inform you here when our Nexus instance is back up and running.

For your information, here is a brief update on the migration.

  • Nexus has been updated from version 3.41 to 3.70
  • Nexus database has been migrated from OrientDB to H2

I still need to do the following:

  • Update Nexus to version 3.81
  • If possible, migrate from H2 to PostgreSQL (PostgreSQL is only available in the community version of Nexus starting with version 3.77)

As some of you are working on projects that depend on packages published on our Nexus instance, I have paused the migration process and reactivated access to Nexus for everyone.

I will continue the migration process tonight if I find the time.

Dear all,

I will once again block access to our Nexus instance for a few hours in order to complete its migration and upgrade.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Our Nexus instance now uses the latest OSS version and relies on the H2 database. Initially, I wanted to migrate to a PostgreSQL database, but the performance observed with H2 seems sufficient for our needs.

So I’m putting Nexus back into service.
