Just a heads-up, the latest release of orekit_jpype (released yesterday) has now java JIT optimizations on again. There is some corner cases where the wrapper crashes in the end of a pytest session due to some conflict of exceptions during shutdown of the JVM. This will not be there in the to-be-released version of jpype and can be mitigated with a small pytest closedown procedure as seen in: Making sure you're not a bot! based on the comment from Clément Masson in Making sure you're not a bot!
The removal of optimization was not really addressing the core problem (just that those exceptions were used in some optimization) and this has been rewritten in the upcoming release of jpype. So in case you run into some issue during upgrade and set of pytest tests, please add this closing process unitl the new jpype is released.
